In accordance with the EPP, Section 4: Position Vacancies, vacant positions may be filled using various employment methods, including in-house transfer, public job announcement and the re-employment of “Reduction-In-Force” employees.  The intent is to foster a workplace where qualified employees are encouraged to seek various career opportunities, gain valuable work experience, enhance their competencies and increase job satisfaction.  The Human Resources Director shall select the most appropriate method to fill a vacant position depending on administrative convenience, the cost and expense of recruitment and any other relevant factors.

APPLICATION SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS AND FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What should be attached to an application for employment with the Judicial Branch?

In order to receive full credit for education and experience and to receive preference in employment as an enrolled Navajo, the following attachments to an application are required:

·         Judicial Branch of the Navajo Nation - Application for Employment -- go to Judicial Branch Human Resources

·         Letter of Interest

·         Resume

·         Copies/Official Transcripts, Degrees, Certificates

·         State issued Driver’s License

·         Social Security Card

·         Certificate of Indian Blood

·         Application for Veterans Preference with copy of DD214/215/225 (If claiming Veterans Preference)

Please Note:  All applications for employment shall be submitted on the required Judicial Branch of the Navajo Nation - Application for Employment; any other submission, including the Navajo Nation Application of Employment will result in an incomplete application for employment and will be returned to applicant.  Criminal Background Investigations and Checks are required for all positions within the Judicial Branch and are a condition of employment.
